Julien's to Auction Naked Donald Trump Statue

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the statue, which originally appeared on Hollywood Boulevard, will go to an immigration policy organization

Celebrity auction house Julien's Auctions said Wednesday that it will sell one of the life-sized naked Trump statues that artist collective INDECLINE installed around the country earlier this month at an upcoming auction.

The "The Emperor Has No Balls," which depicts a nude Trump with fingers intertwined and hands resting comfortably on a sagging foam belly, is expected to fetch at least $10,000 at the Oct. 22 sale. A portion of the auction proceeds will benefit the National Immigration Forum, an immigration policy organization.

The statue originally appeared on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Rodney Drive in Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood. When the city threatened to cart off the statue, the owner of a nearby pop culture gift shop agreed to give it home on his doorstep.

Similar Trump statues popped up in San Francisco, Seattle, Cleveland and New York.

"The explicit statue quickly became a symbol of political protest art and garnered international coverage when the gallery refused to hide or censor the statue, choosing instead to display it prominently and in public view," Julien's Auctions said in a statement.

On Wednesday, the Republican candidate vowed to remove millions of people living in the country illegally if he becomes president, warning that failure to do so would jeopardize the "well-being of the American people." The speech came just hours after he met with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto.

Trump's campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment from CNBC.

The naked Trump will be on view at Julien's Auctions beginning Oct. 17. Other lots available at its "Street Art and Contemporary Art" sale include Shepard Fairey's "Hope" portrait of President Barack Obama and a Banksy print.
