A dusting of snow over the tri-state Sunday morning will make way for partly cloudy skies later in the day, Storm Team 4 says.
A winter storm that was moving through the area is expected to stay south of the tri-state area, according to Storm Team 4.
The New York City metro area was supposed to see a light dusting of snow, with slightly more snow expected in central and southern New Jersey.
Sunday will likely have a high of 32 degrees, and some sunshine could show up in the afternoon, Storm Team 4 says. Sunday night will be cloudy, breezy and cold, with a low of 24 degrees.
A winter weather advisory is in effect through tonight for Ocean County, where 1 to 3 inches of snow may fall.
The rest of the week is expected to be dry and chilly, with a high of 35 degrees Monday.
