A truck driver struck and killed a man who was crossing a Brooklyn street before fleeing the scene, police said.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was pushing a shopping cart across Atlantic Avenue early Friday evening when he was hit by the truck, which was leaving a parking spot, police said.
The truck is described as a three-axle, straight flatbed with a boom and a dark colored cab, officials said.
Police are asking anyone with information about the truck or driver to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
