Teens Beat up Man in Apartment Lobby, Steal $10: NYPD

Three teenagers kicked and punched a man in an apartment lobby and robbed him of $10, police said Saturday.

The teens approached the man early Tuesday in the lobby of an apartment at East 169th Street and Third Avenue in the Claremont neighborhood of the Bronx, the NYPD said.

One of the teens snuck up on the man and punched him, surveillance video from police shows. The victim falls to the ground off-camera before and the teens run off.

But moments later, the trio returns and attacks the man as he lies defenseless. They kicked and punched him repeatedly before snatching his wallet, which had $10, according to police.

The victim refused medical attention.

Police released surveillance video of the attack and said all three attackers appeared to be 17 years old.
