Suspect Robs NYC Store With Rifle: Police

A thief robbed a Bronx cellphone store with a rifle on Monday afternoon, police said.

The suspect walked into the Metro PCS store on Westchester Avenue near Longwood Avenue at about 4 p.m. and flashed the long gun at a 20-year-old woman working there, police said.

He then grabbed her by the hair and forced her into the store’s back room, authorities said.

The thief then pocketed eight cellphones and $4,000 from the store’s register, police said.

He fled on foot after the caper and has not been arrested, authorities said.
