Part of a New Jersey highway was shut down for hours because of falling debris.
The westbound lanes of Route 3 were shut down for hours due to falling concrete from the Route 46 overpass. The right lane opened around 3 a.m. Wednesday and then around 5:30 a.m., both lanes had reopened.
Traffic was being detoured at Grove Street in Clifton.
New Jersey Department of Transportation crews are on the scene evaluating the situation. Work continued through the night.
