Police: Homeless Man Drowned off Long Island Shore

Police say they have found the body of a homeless man who appears to have drowned in a harbor off Long Island's North Shore.

Suffolk County Police say a Port Jefferson village constable found 28-year-old Marlon Lewis' body around 1:45 p.m. Thursday.

They say Lewis, whose body was found on a beach near Port Jefferson Harbor, appears to have drowned.

Police say they are continuing to investigate. The county's medical examiner will determine his official cause of death.
