Hazelnut lovers, rejoice! New York’s first ever Nutella Cafe will open later this month in Union Square.
The world-renowned hazelnut spread will take center stage at the new spot in University Place beginning on Nov. 14. The store will offer a range of delicacies including a pound cake panzanella and a brioche sandwich with Nutella gelato. True to its name, the cafe will also sell specialty espresso beverages to accompany their lengthy dessert menu.
The first U.S. Nutella store opened in Chicago in 2017, and though the list of goodies will mirror Chicago’s menu, the New York City store will have its own specialty items not found in Chicago.
“It's their excitement that propelled us to open another Nutella Cafe and continue to showcase the uniqueness and versatility of this beloved product," said Rick Fossali, Nutella’s vice president of operations.
