A police officer was wounded Saturday when his weapon accidentally discharged while he was working a hospital security detail in Brooklyn, according to an NYPD spokesman.
The officer, whose identity wasn't disclosed, sustained a minor wound to the right leg, the spokesman said.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where the officer was working a paid security detail. No one else was injured.
The officer was listed in stable condition as of Sunday morning.
