NYPD: Man Accused of Fatally Beating Neighbor in Elevator

The NYPD says a man is accused of beating his 74-year-old neighbor to death inside the elevator of their Bronx apartment building.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicated that the two had argued over the use of the elevator.

Police say they were called to the building just after 3 p.m. on Sunday and found Felix Rodriguez unconscious and unresponsive on the floor of the building's elevator. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say 57-year-old Joaquin Feliciano was arrested and charged with first-degree manslaughter in Rodriguez's death.

It's unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
