Robbers kicked open the door of a Manhattan apartment and beat a 51-year-old man inside, the NYPD said.
The robbers broke into the man's apartment building near FDR Drive and went up to his floor at about 3 a.m. Sunday.
One man kicked in the door and beat the 51-year-old victim with his fist and with a firearm, while demanding money.
A second suspect never entered the apartment.
In the end, the robbers stole nothing, according to police.
The victim had cuts to the head but refused medical attention.
