Police are searching for the man who they say stole a guitar worth thousands of dollars from a Queens music shop.
Surveillance video from the 48th Street Guitar Center in Long Island City shows the man looking around as he takes the black guitar from a display stand and conceals it under his jacket. He then allegedly left the store without paying for the instrument.
The guitar is a custom Gibson valued at $4,650, according to police.
The alleged theft happened on Oct. 18 just before 4 p.m.
Police have asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
