A man was struck and killed by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the Harlem River Drive in Washington Heights, police said.
Wayne Harrigan, 55, was trying to cross the northbound lanes of the roadway around 10:15 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a 2004 Toyota Suburban near West 167th Street, police said.
Paramedics pronounced Harrigan dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota waited for police to arrive and no criminality is suspected in the crash, the NYPD said.
The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is looking into the accident.
