A man was hit and critically injured by a car that fled the scene in Queens Sunday night, authorities said.
The 53-year-old man was walking near 21st Street and 49th Avenue in Long Island City when he was hit at about 8 p.m., authorities said.
The driver of the vehicle then took off, police said.
The victim was rushed to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital where he is listed in critical condition, authorities said.
A description of the vehicle and the driver were not immediately available, police said.
