Police are looking for the person or people who spray painted swastikas in a Long Island village.
The swastikas and smiley faces were found Tuesday morning. They had been spray painted on the sidewalk in front of a home near Stewart Avenue and Elton Road North and on trees and utility poles nearby, according to police.
Police said all of the swastikas and smiley faces were painted using a green spray paint.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the vandals were targeting anyone specific or if the location was chosen at random.
