Authorities say a head-on collision in southern New Jersey left three children and three adults hospitalized.
The accident happened around 5:40 p.m. Saturday on Route 539 in Lacey Township.
Police say a 24-year-old man was driving northbound when he started passing several vehicles. But his car soon collided head-on with a southbound sport utility vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man.
The car's driver and a 26-year-old female passenger suffered multiple internal injuries and were flown to a hospital. But further details on their conditions were not disclosed.
A 2-year-old child riding in the car was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
Three passengers in the SUV — a 54-year-old woman and two 10-year-old children — were treated at a hospital for minor injuries. The SUV's driver wasn't hurt.
