One of Santa's elves may have landed himself a spot on the naughty list this year — he's wanted for mischief by the New York State Police.
The Department decided to get into the holiday spirit with a cute #WarrantWednesday post. The hashtag includes photos of individuals with oustanding warrants shared by police departments nationwide in hopes of apprehension.
Trooper Elf has been stirring up mischief since his escape from the North Pole by swiping candy, stealing donuts and misplacing Stetson hats at police stations throughout the state, according to the Facebook post.
Despite his mischievous behavior, he's still good at heart: Trooper Elf has brightened up New York with holiday decor and a festive spirit.
"If located, please thank him for spreading holiday cheer," the police department wrote in a Facebook post.
