Oh Yes! New York Model Scores Cash Over Fake Orgasm

A model who sued a New York City jewelry company for showing an Internet video in which she writhes and moans suggestively on a bed has settled the lawsuit.

The model had charged in her $5 million lawsuit she didn't consent to use of her image "to simulate a female having an orgasm." The video attracted more than 700,000 hits on YouTube before it was removed in January.

The accord came to light Monday after a Manhattan judge filed a notice saying the "action has settled."

A joint statement by the model's lawyer Kevin Mulhearn and lawyers for Szul Jewelry Inc. said the settlement terms are confidential.

Mulhearn said his client is "pleased." Szul attributes the dispute to "miscommunication between parties."

The judge allowed the 37-year-old model to sue without making her name public.

She earned just $200 for making the ad. She's now apparently satisfied.
