Man Waving Box Cutter on NYC Subway Platform Arrested: NYPD

Two Brooklyn transit cops arrested a man for allegedly waving a box cutter in the air on a subway platform, police said.

The officers responded to a report of a man with a knife on the Hoyt Street 2 and 3 subway platform at about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday night, authorities said.

They were then flagged by a witness who pointed them to the man wielding the blade, cops said.

The cops spotted the man waving the box cutter, ordered him to drop the weapon and placed him under arrest, police said.

The 30-year-old suspect from Queens was charged with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct and harassment.
