A fire in a Brooklyn apartment building injured 13 people, including a man who plunged from a fifth-floor window onto scaffolding below, authorities said.
According to the FDNY, the 54-year-old man who took the plunge was the only person seriously injured in the fire Sunday morning in Red Hook.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze, which was reported around 6:30 a.m. on the fourth floor of a six-story apartment building at 75 Bush St.
It took about a half hour for firefighters to bring the flames under control, officials said.
Several people were treated at the scene, and four people were hospitalized. The fire department says two firefighters were among the injured.
