A man was fatally struck while walking along a highway in Queens Friday night, police said.
The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was hit around 11:30 p.m. on the southbound Van Wyck Expressway near exit 4, police said.
EMS, who found the man with extreme injuries, took him to the Jamaica Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The 64-year-old driver of a Lexus sedan who struck the man remained at the scene, according to police.
The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
