A man was found shot dead inside a Manhattan park Monday afternoon, police say.
Officers were flagged down near Highbridge Park in Washington Heights at about 1 p.m. by a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, according to police.
Inside the park near West 165th Street and Edgecomb Avenue, police found a 36-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, police said. He was declared dead at the scene.
That man has not yet been identified.
The wounded 31-year-old man was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. His connection to the victim wasn't clear.
Police say they've taken a man into custody and recovered a gun from him. Charges are pending.
