A man was arrested and charged with robbing a church in Newark Tuesday night, authorities said.
Police responded to a burglary in progress at New Dawn Church on Peshine Avenue after 9 p.m. Two men were found restraining Rajahn W. McKinnon, 46, of Newark, who had church-owned food items and a knife on him, police said.
McKinnon is charged with burglary and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
