A Long Island man was charged early Sunday with Driving While Intoxicated with a child in the vehicle after being pulled over for a vehicle and traffic stop, police said.
Jaime Salazaar, 28, of Great Nick, was charged with aggravated DWI and endangering the welfare of a child, according to Nassau County police.
After pulling over Salazaar at about 3:30 a.m. on Udall Drive, officers noticed his wife and 22-month-old son in the back seat, police said. Mother and child were released at the scene.
It as unclear whether Salazaar had obtained a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
