1. Wretched 48 Hours of Weather Likely Ahead of Holiday Weekend

Getting ready to travel for the holidays? Storm Team 4 is tracking a powerful storm that could slow down your trip late Thursday into Saturday morning.

While much of Thursday morning and afternoon should remain dry, showers associated with this system will begin to dampen parts of the tri-state area in the evening, Storm Team 4 says.

Showers will intensify and winds will pick up overnight as the storm tracks over the region, bringing periods of heavy rain and gusty winds throughout the day on Friday.

2. Mom Foils Would-Be Car Thief: 'He Got a Whoopin''

A mother taking her child to school jumped into action when she discovered a man was trying to steal her car, dragging him out of the vehicle and pinning him down until police arrived as witnesses cheered her from afar.

"He's lucky I didn't kill him," Tihisha Jones told News 4 New York. "That's the thing. He's lucky I didn't kill him."

Jones said she started her car with an automatic starter before she left her apartment to take her son to school. But when she got to the vehicle, which was parked across from 705 Brook Avenue in the Bronx, her son noticed there was a man inside, she said.

3. $$$: Forbes Reveals List Of America's Wealthiest Celebrities

Forbes released its list of America's Wealthiest Celebrities, and along with names you would expect, Kylie Jenner has cracked the top five the founder of Kylie Cosmetics.

Leading the list is George Lucas with a net worth $5.4 billion, Steven Spielberg with $3.7 billion, Oprah Winfrey with $2.8 billion, and Michael Jordan with $1.7 billion.

In the fifth spot is Jenner, who owns 100 percent of her Kylie Cosmetics company.
