1. Lawsuit Filed Over Looming L Train Shutdown in NYC

Could the looming and controversial L Train shutdown be derailed? 

Manhattan residents and disability rights advocates hope so and have filed a lawsuit over the shutdown and related repairs expected near year. 

The suit claims the plan runs afoul of environmental and disability rights laws.

2. Nearly 70% of New Yorkers' Garbage Isn't Even Considered Trash: Report

Hey, New Yorkers. A mix of bad and good news to start your sunny Thursday. 

The good news? You are recycling more. The bad news? What you do throw into the garbage is not even considered trash. 

The Department of Sanitation says a whopping 68 percent of items New Yorkers throw out can actually be recycled.

3. Citi Bike Entices More Riders with $3 Single Rides in April

Don't be surprised if you see more cyclists pedaling around. 

In an effort to entice more riders, Citi Bike is offering 30-minute rides for $3 in the month of April. 

The special fare will be availbale for cyclists in the Big Apple and Jersey City. To put the price difference into perspective, a typical 30-minute ride is usually $12.
