Police on Long Island say a 64-year-old woman is dead after she was hit by a car while jogging.
The accident happened Friday in Garden City.
Nassau County police say woman was jogging on Kensington Road just before noon when she was hit by a 2003 Honda driven by a 43-year-old woman.
The driver stayed at the scene and no charges were filed.
Newsday reports that the jogger was pronounced dead later Friday at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola.
Her name was not immediately released.
