In an effort to make getting deliveries easier without having to be by the door, Jet.com, an online shopping retailer bought by Walmart in 2016, is teaming up with Latch to provide 1,000 New York buildings with free smart access locks, according to a news report.
Residents will be able to use their smartphones as exterior keys remotely, ensuring that their packages are safe and sound inside the buildings by granting access to trusted delivery providers, said TechCrunch.
It is unclear when the locks will be installed.
