Ice Cream Thief Slashes Drug Store Employee in Queens: NYPD

A sticky-fingered ice cream thief slashed a 62-year-old drug store employee who tried to stop him Monday in Queens, police said.

The suspect took the ice cream from a CVS Pharmacy on Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach just before midnight, the NYPD said.

As he was trying to flee the store, the employee tried to stop him, but the suspect slashed him with an unknown object, police said. The suspect took the frozen dessert and fled.

The victim was taken to nearby hospital and treated for two lacerations to his forehead.
