Husband Charged With Killing Missing Wife

Woman disappeared more than three weeks ago

New York State Police arrested Werner Lippe in connection with the disappearance of his wife.

Police charged Lippe, 66, of Cortlandt Manor with second-degree murder. He was arrested following an investigation into the disappearance of his 46-year-old wife, Faith Lippe, who was reported missing on Oct. 4.

The investigation revealed that Lippe was responsible for the death of his wife prior to reporting her missing to state police, authorities said.

Faith Lippe’s body had not been found as of Friday morning. Police were searching for her remains in a wooded area on Little Lake Road, where she and her husband lived.

Lippe was arraigned in Cortlandt Court and is being held in the Westchester County Jail without bail.
