A glass window pane plunged from a hotel ceiling in midtown Thursday afternoon, hurting a pedestrian, fire officials say.
It's not clear what caused the window pane to fall onto the sidewalk outside the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on 51st Street and Lexington Avenue at about 3:30 p.m.
The FDNY says EMS transported the injured person to New York Cornell Hospital. The victim was in stable condition with minor injuries.
Emergency responders taped off the area and were cleaning up the shattered glass.
