A crash on the FDR Drive sent a driver to the hospital with injuries and backed up traffic for hours Thursday evening, authorities say.
Two vehicles crashed on the northbound side of the FDR Drive near 41st Street on the east side of Manhattan at about 7:30 p.m., according to FDNY.
One of the drivers got out of the car and was struck by another passing car in the opposite direction.
The victim was taken to Cornell Medical Center and was listed in serious but stable condition.
Delays persisted through the evening as police investigated.
