A construction worker was injured in an accident in Manhattan early Monday afternoon, emergency personnel said.
The worker was taken to a local hospital with leg and back injuries after the incident near near 2nd Avenue and 86th Street.
Circumstances surrounding the accident were unclear.
Monday's incident marks the latest in a string of construction accidents across the city, some of which have been fatal.
On April 3, a man from New Jersey was killed when a crane collapsed at the No. 7 subway line extension site at 11th Avenue. That same day, one worker was killed and two were hurt in a collapse at a Brooklyn construction site.
