Bus Driver Seriously Injured, 13 Others Suffer Minor Injuries in School Bus Crash: FDNY

A school bus carrying a group of teenagers crashed in the Bronx on Saturday morning, seriously injuring the driver who was arrested, police said.

Thirteen people on the bus suffered minor injuries, mostly knee and back injuries, the NYPD said. The bus was taking a group of teens on a school trip, but police didn't specify how many of the people hurt were kids.

Video from the aftermath of the 7:30 a.m. crash at Fulton Avenue and Claremont Parkway in Claremont showed a white SUV in front of the bus that had crashed into a tree. Another SUV crashed into the back of the bus. The circumstances of the crash weren't immediately clear.

The driver was arrested and charged with driving without a licence.
