Authorities are investigating whether a 66-year-old woman who was found naked with severe trauma to her head and face on the floor of the bedroom in her Bronx apartment was beaten, law enforcement officials said.
The woman's daughter found her inside the Arthur Avenue apartment and called police.
Law enforcement officials say there are no signs of forced entry.
The woman is recovering at St. Barnabas Hospital.
