Switch Problems Cause Major Disruptions on A, C Lines

Most service on the A and C lines resumed following switch problems that caused major headaches for subway riders Monday afternoon.

The MTA said northbound A trains were running local from Broadway Junction to Hoyt-Schermerhorn because of switch problems at Hoyt-Schermerhorn.

Earlier, those switch problems forced the MTA to suspend service the A line between Broadway Junction and Jay Street-Metro Tech, and service on the C line between Euclid Avenue and Chambers Street in both directions.

The MTA says riders should expect delays in both directions on the two lines.
