Prosecutors say a man led police on a high-speed chase in Queens before crashing into a New York City bus, injuring a dozen people.
Chevon Parchment was charged Wednesday with reckless endangerment, unlawfully fleeing police and drug possession.
NYPD officers tried to stop the 24-year-old around 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Jamaica after noticing he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
Prosecutors say Parchment refused to stop and led the officers on a chase through the residential neighborhood.
Officials said Parchment reached speeds of about 100 mph and ran several stop signs and red lights.
He eventually crashed into a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus. Twelve people were hospitalized after the crash.
Prosecutors say Parchment had 64 baggies of cocaine in his pants.
