Police say a 34-year-old man was struck and killed by a bus while crossing the Staten Island Expressway.
William McGowan was hit shortly after midnight Sunday at Mosel Avenue.
Police say the victim was found unresponsive with trauma about his body. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police say an Omni bus was headed east on the expressway when it struck the victim as he was crossing the expressway from south to north.
The bus driver remained on the scene.
No charges were filed. The investigation is continuing.
