Hands off the summer flounder!
New York's Department of Environmental Conservation says a Long Island fisherman faces fines for having over 1,000 pounds of the off-season fish aboard his vessel.
The limit is 350 pounds per trip.
The DEC says it confiscated the fish while the boat was docked in Hampton Bays.
The owner-operator, John Berglin, did not immediately return a call for comment on Wednesday.
