The famed skating rink in front of the building that houses NBC 4 New York's studios is set to open on Saturday, with a grand opening event scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Figure skater and Olympic silver medalist Sasha Cohen will cut the ribbon for the rink on Tuesday morning as it opens for its 80th season and harkens the beginning of the winter season in New York City.
The Rink at Rockefeller Center first opened on Christmas Day in 1936.
