Police Hunting Down Man Who Forced Way Into NYC Home, Hit 5-Year-Old Boy: Cops

Police are hunting down a man who they say forced his way into a Queens home by shoving a teenager and then hitting a 5-year-old boy in the face, according to officials.

Police say Alix Sanchez, 31, forced his way inside a Jackson Heights home on Thursday night by throwing an 18-year-old man to the ground and then slapping the young boy. After hitting the boy, authorities say Sanchez ran off and hasn’t been seen since.

The boy was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation. No other injuries were reported.

It wasn’t clear why Sanchez allegedly forced his way into the home and hit the two victims. Police also didn't elaborate on a possible relationship between the victims and Sanchez, but said a "valid order of protection exists."

Officials described Sanchez as being around 5 foot, 7 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds. Investigators urge witnesses to call Crime Stoppers with tips that could lead to his arrest.
