The granddaughter of ex-Bear Stearns CEO Alan Greenburg fractured both her knees after being hit by a cab late last night, but the only thing she's worried about is her missing pooch.
The precious papillon Maltese named "Bagel" got spooked and ran off into the night after the taxi barreled into Allison Frey on Park Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. and drove off, according to The New York Post.
"I don't even care about my legs. I want my dog," a tearful Frey told the paper. "I love him more than anything. Nobody can find him. He's so cute."
The 22-year-old had been talking on her cell phone and carrying her 4-pound pup in a bag as she exited the No. 6 train station on 33rd street when the cab came out of nowhere, hit her and drove off, according to the Post.
"It was pouring rain, and the next thing I knew I was hit," said Frey, who now needs crutches and knee braces to get around. "I got flung onto the roof and rolled onto the ground."
Crippled and bleeding from a gash on her head, Frey struggled to get up. A Good Samaritan witnessed the hit-and-run and stopped to help the beleaguered Frey search for her pup until the ambulance arrived, the Post reported.
Hours later, her brothers and cops still hadn't found the black-and-white fluffball, who just celebrated his first birthday last week. Frey's friends put up pictures of Bagel all over the neighborhood and posted ads on Craigslist, hoping someone had seen him.

"He's so small he could be in a gutter. He's really tiny," Frey, who lives a block away from where she was hit, told the Post. "I just wish I hadn't brought him out last night."
Desperate to find their daughter's beloved Bagel, Frey's parents reached out to all of the city's animal hot lines, praying someone had picked him up. The dog wasn't wearing a collar, reports the Post, but he has a microchip implanted in his skin. If he does end up in a shelter, authorities will be able to scan the chip and return the pup to his rightful owner.
So far, no animal shelter has seen a dog matching Bagel's mug, a spokesman for the city's Center for Animal Care and Control told the Post. The pup was last seen on 34th Street and Park Avenue.
Cops did manage to find the taxi driver who rammed into Frey and sparked the disastrous chain of events. They arrested 34-year-old Zakaria Mina and charged him with leaving the scene of an accident.
