Hazy, hot and muggy weather is sticking around this weekend, according to Storm Team 4.
Temperatures are reaching the high 80s in many parts of the tri-state area. Those looking to escape the heat this weekend could head to the southern shores of Long Island, or to the Jersey Shore, where a sea breeze has cooled temperatures down to the 70s.
For most of the area, Sunday should be less humid than Saturday, but it will still be hot. Expect sunny skies and temperatures in the high 80s.
The humidity returns on Monday and Tuesday, when a frontal system could bring showers and a few thunderstorms to our area. It will be relatively cool on Monday, with a high of 78, but temperatures will shoot up into the upper 80s on Tuesday along with a chance of scattered thunderstorms.
Wednesday and Thursday will likely be partly cloudy, with temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s.
