NJ Transit Bus Delays After Truck Breaks Down in Lincoln Tunnel

Delays cleared up by noon

NJ Transit commuters who ride buses from New Jersey into Manhattan faced significant delays getting to the Port Authority Bus Terminal after a truck broke down in the Lincoln Tunnel.

It took 20 minutes for officials to remove the disabled vehicle from the north tube by 8:15 a.m. Thursday. That backed up traffic in the bus lanes.

Passengers experienced delays of up to an hour at one point. Residual delays cleared up by noon.

NJ Transit deployed extra customer service representatives.
