NJ Shop Owner Gunned Down: Police

The owner of a small clothing store in New Jersey was fatally shot during an apparent robbery attempt.

The shooting occurred at about 5 p.m. Saturday inside the Top Plus store at 905 Bergen Ave. in Jersey City, said police and Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.

Investigators scoured the scene for clues Saturday. They haven't disclosed the identity of the store owner.

Others who work in the area described the victim as a good man who had owned the business for quite some time. 

No arrest has been made.
