Human Trafficker Arrested During Traffic Stop: NJ Police

A Pennsylvania man wanted for human trafficking was arrested in New Jersey Monday night following a traffic stop, police said.

Will Chen, 58, was driving a blue Honda Civic on Interstate 78 in Pohatcong Township when he was pulled over around 11 p.m. by a New Jersey State Police trooper.

Police say he was stopped for a traffic violation, but didn’t specify what that violation was.

At some point during the stop, the trooper who pulled Chen over realized he was wanted for human trafficking out of Howard County, Maryland.

Chen was arrested and taken to Hunterdon County Jail on a no-bail warrant.

He is currently awaiting extradition to Maryland.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.
