Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash With SUV on Long Island: Police

Police say a motorcyclist is in critical condition after she collided with an SUV Sunday afternoon on Long Island.

Amanda Dominick, 26, was going northbound on Cedar Avenue in Islip on a 2001 Suzuki 750 when the motorcycle crashed into a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee going that was going eastbound on Maple Street around p.m., police said.

Dominick was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she was listed in critical condition. The driver of the Jeep, 34-year-old Timothy Kaye, was uninjured.

The motorcycle and SUV were impounded for safety checks as police investigate the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 631-854-8352.
