A local mom told police she was mad at her boyfriend and couldn't deal with her kids, so she went to get her nails done, according to a report.
Jennifer Gonzalez was charged with child endangerment after leaving her sons -- ages 5 and 2 -- alone in their home in Coram for nearly three hours, Newsday reported.
A neighbor called police before 9 p.m. last night after listening to the "incessant screaming of a child that lasted at least an hour," according to the paper.
When Gonzalez, 24, returned about an hour later -- after having already been gone about two hours -- she told police she was in a foul mood after her boyfriend "left to go play football," according to the report. She then said she couldn't deal with the kids, so she waited until they dozed off before leaving for a walk, and then the manicure.
The children were released to the boyfriend, who is also the father of the boys.
Gonzalez awaits her arraignment in a Central Islip court Friday.
