Police are looking for suspects who cut a hole in the floor of an unoccupied Bronx apartment to enter and rob the deli below before setting it on fire Wednesday.
The suspects broke into the apartment on Watson Avenue in Soundview around 3:26 a.m. and cut a hole in the floor, the NYPD said.
The men were able to get into the deli below, where they stole cash, baby formula and calling cards. They then used the hole to get out and set the store on fire.
A neighbor who smelled smoke called firefighters who were able to stop the fire and evacuate the building. No residents were injured.
Police released surveillance video of the suspects (above). Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
