A Long Island man has been arrested after police say he broke into a Wantagh smoke shop and stole boxes of candy and a glass water pipe.
The Hicksville man was allegedly seen breaking the front door of the Burn Smoke Shop on Railroad Avenue early Monday morning, police said.
According to officials, the man entered the store and took the boxes of candy and glass pipe before walking away. An Island Yellow Taxi dispatcher reported the break-in to police, who later located the suspect on Grove Street.
No injuries were reported and the items were recovered.
The man was charged with third-degree burglary and possession of burglar tools, police said.
